(ATR) The leader of the International Paralympic Committee says Tokyo still doesn’t have enough accessible hotel rooms for Paralympic visitors in 2020.
IPC President Andrew Parsons tells Around the Rings Tokyo 2020 Paralympics preparations are going well, despite the deficit in accessible accommodations.
Parsons speaks to ATR Editor Ed Hula in the latest edition of Around the Rings Radio.
In addition to Tokyo, Parsons also reviews plans for the 2002 Winter Paralympics in Beijing and the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.
Parsons explains the reasons the IPC has stripped Malaysia as the host for the 2019 Paralympics swimming championships and why it is difficult to add new sports to the Paralympics.
