(ATR) Around the Rings founders Ed and Sheila Hula make Sports Business Journal’s list of "Power Players: Olympics".
The list, released on Monday, includes 77 top executives, strategists and operators who "are among the most important and influential figures in the Olympics movement", according to Sports Business Journal (SBJ).
"It's gratifying to be included with such a well-connected and influential group," Ed Hula says. "We speak with many of these influencers who really are the movers and shakers throughout the Olympic Movement. Modest as I am, it is a recognition of the work and know howAround the Ringsbrings to our readers."
The Hulas were two of the 11 individuals selected under the broadcasting and media category.
SBJ saysAround the Rings"shines a spotlight on the business and political sides of the Olympic movement, and it’s a go-to resource for the latest information on the bidding process for future Games".
ATRjoins NBC Sports Group, NBCUniversal and Discovery, Inc. as the only organizations represented in the broadcasting and media category.
"It's always nice to be recognized for your work. It's even better when that recognition comes from your peers -- especially one with the stature of Sports Business Journal," says Sheila Hula.
The other individuals chosen, led by IOC president Thomas Bach, came from categories including the International Olympic Committee, LA28/U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Properties, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, National Governing Bodies, Brands and Sponsors, Agencies and Consultants, and Agents and Athletes.
With the COVID-19 pandemic creating an uncertain future ahead of next year's Tokyo Games, SBJ says all the leaders highlighted in the list "will feel the heat of the spotlight as they navigate uncharted waters with the world’s biggest sporting event hanging in the balance".
