Monaco eSports Federation, SPORTEL and SPORTEL Awards are co-organizing on Thursday

#LiveFromMonaco".
"Following our first collaboration on the occasion of the Monaco Gaming Day held during
SPORTEL Awards, we took the decision to join forces once again to highlight how the
Principality of Monaco is developing as a major player in esports. It is a very promising and
expanding sector that SPORTEL will continue to develop within our various events in the
comings months", says Laurent Puons, CEO of Monaco Mediax.
"The year 2020 was definitely a very unique one that will remain in everyone’s mind. It was
an important year for the eSports industry and for us, the MeSF in particular as we’ve
successfully organized the SIM-Racing #LiveFromMonaco, and the Monaco Gaming Day
during SPORTEL Awards which resulted in outstanding results with over half-million online
spectators. The eSports Webinar remains an important part of the puzzle to bring together
businesses, gamers and spectators together!", adds Louis Ducruet, President, Monaco
eSports Federation.
The webinar will shine the spotlight on two high-profile esports events held live and virtually,

How SIM-Racing Saved the Spring Racing Season: Virtual Race Series in Monaco - From F1
to Gran Turismo and Formula E
During the early months of COVID-19, all races were cancelled and SIM racing became an
exciting platform to not only maintain the interest of fans, but also entertain both the fans
and drivers alike!
Formula 1 and other racing series organized their own events, sparking creative and
engaging challenges between pro athletes from a cross section of racing disciplines and
diverse sports, who competed with each other through innovative gaming.
MeSF organised its own event to support the cancelled Monaco Grand Prix weekend 2020,
featuring drivers from the Principality including Monaco’s very own F1 and F3 racing
brothers, Charles and Arthur Leclerc.
