(ATR)Leaders in the world of sport will meet in Geneva, Switzerland this week for the 2016 International Sports Convention (ISC).
Compared to 2014, more networking opportunities, exhibitors and speakers will be featured at the biennial event, Chief Executive of the ISC Nigel Fletcher tells Around the Rings.
Thousand of delegates from over 80 countries and more than 150 speakers are expected to attend.
The intensive two day conference will hold 18 different seminars, each focusing on key topics within sport. Topics range from 'Sports Broadcast', 'Athlete Performance' and much more.
More than 20 speakers will be included in a seminar on 'Sports Integrity', being one of the major subjects of the year along with doping.
"The Integrity of sport is a key factor for both now and the future," Fletcher says. "It really becomes the basis for the development of sport and business of sport."
With the growing issues following doping and the increasing challenges that are being faced with retesting doping samples,President of the World Anti-Doping Agency Sir Craig Reedie, Chairman of the IOC Disciplinary Commission Denis Oswald and others will be leading a 90-minute panel discussion exploring the topic.
Key figures in technology such as Twitter, Google, and Microsoft will also be included in a seminar entitled 'Sports Digital' where delegates discuss matters such as the ' Future of digital in the sports world' and 'Bringing fans closer'.
This ISC prides itself on being a facilitator for organizations to conduct business, Fletcher states. In doing so they have launched amobile networking application for the conference.
This app will allow delegates to connect with one another and arrange meetings prior to the event. The app will also contain the conference schedule, list of exhibitors, speakers, panels and partners.
The 2016 International Sports Convention will take place from Dec. 7-8.
