World Bowling is thrilled to announce the decision to move theirheadquarters from the United States to Lausanne, Switzerland – home of international sport. WorldBowling will open its new headquarters in the Olympic Capital in early 2015, joining over fiftyinternational sports organisations that have already made Lausanne and the surrounding region ofVaud their home.
The decision to move to Lausanne was announced today in Abu Dhabi, where World Bowling isonsite following the final day of the World Men’s Championships. The decision is in line with otherthe recent developments coming from the governing body, including its rebranding, the launch of anew scoring system and an increase of its social media presence. All of these initiatives have beendone to make the international sport more accessible and attractive to fans around the world.
Kevin Dornberger, President of World Bowling, commented: "We feel that now is the right time tojoin the Olympic Capital. Being part of the unique sports community in Lausanne will offer usopportunities to exchange experiences and gain knowledge from other federations. I am lookingforward to welcoming the sports community to the inauguration of our new office in early 2015."
