FINA, the world governing body for the sport of Aquatics, is delighted to announce swim wearables company TritonWear as Event Partner of the 4th FINA World Aquatics Convention, taking place at Caesars Windsor Resort and Convention Centre, Ontario, Canada, from 3-5 December 2016.
Co-founded by former engineering classmates Tristan Lehari and Darius Gai, TritonWear develops wearable technology that uses motion sensors to record splits, stroke count, breathing pattern, turn time, time underwater and much more, to ultimately improve a swimmer’s performance. The data syncs directly to a tablet in real-time, allowing coaches to analyse swimmers across an entire team more effectively in practice.
TritonWear is passionate about giving coaches the right tools and resources to make data-driven decisions in their sport. Coaches around the world have fully integrated the TritonWear technology into their training programmes ranging from small town clubs up to top NCAA Division 1 Teams and even several National Teams.
Founder and CEO of TritonWear, Tristan Lehari, joins the FINA Swimming Coaches Golden Clinic speaker line-up. Lehari will lead a discussion on Advancing Swimming Through Big Data that takes a close look at how coaches can use data to educate athletes, improve the way they train and succeed in the pool. Lehari’s talk will also provide a sneak peek into the new tools under development that have been made possible due to the massive amounts of data coaches are gathering.
"The FINA World Aquatics Convention is a unique opportunity to be among the finest minds involved in the Aquatics industry. We are hoping to interact and learn from National Federations, clubs and scientists, and understand how TritonWear can fit as a technology organisation around the different levels of swimming organisations.
"TritonWear is committed to improving our sport and believes the Convention is an excellent venue for the FINA community and its stakeholders to collaborate with leaders from around the globe." (Tristan Lehari, Co-Founder and CEO, TritonWear)
"FINA is proud to be working alongside industry innovators such as TritonWear who share a passion for advancing Aquatic sports. Measuring athlete performance has always been a crucial factor in training for success in Aquatics, and TritonWear is demonstrating the growing importance of technology within our sport.
"This data-driven approach continues to move Aquatics forward, and we are excited to expose as many coaches and clubs as possible to its potential at the FINA World Aquatics Convention." (Dr. Julio Maglione, President, FINA)
