Ticket Sales for the 2015 Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix have been launched

Official ticket sales for the 2015 Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix were launched April 9.

Today, April 9, 2015, at 9 AM Moscow Time, the official ticket sales for the 2015 FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX were launched. The Grand Prix will take place at Sochi Autodrom from October 9, 2015 through October 11, 2015. There are 185 days to go until the Russian round of the FIA Formula One World Championship™.

As it was the case in 2014, 55,000 tickets have gone on sale. The ticket prices don't exceed those of the last year.

Sergey Vorobyev, FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX promoter: «This year, we are doing everything to deliver an ideal FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX».

As part of the new ticketing program, the promoter has presented new ticket categories. Motorsport fans will have several ticket options: there are 2-day and 4-day tickets. 2-day tickets are available for the temporary grandstands. On the day before the race weekend, 4-day ticket holders will have a chance to walk on the pit lane along the garages, to have an inside look at the world of Formula 1®, and enjoy the race from Friday through Sunday.

The minimum ticket price is RUB 3,500 - for this amount of money a person can purchase a Walkabout Ticket, visit the F1® Village and attend concerts of Russian and international artists on Medals Plaza (TBC). A Walkabout Ticket is valid from Thursday through Sunday. Walkabout Ticket holders are not allowed to the Grandstands, the Sochi Autodrom Lounges and to the General Admission Area. There are child tickets available for those of the Formula 1® fans who want to come to the race weekend with their families.

Sergey Vorobyev: «Prices for the following 2015 FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX will not be higher than the price for the last year's Grand Prix».

Another improvement is the option to choose not only a Grandstand sector, but also seats. Some changes have been made to the spectators’ seating - there is one less grandstand at the circuit, but the capacity of the General Admission Area around the Bolshoy Ice Dome has been increased up to 8,500.

Those fans, who will purchase their Grand Prix tickets before June 9, will get a 20% discount.

Prices of the tickets for the additional grandstands offering an excellent view to the most spectacular parts of the track start from RUB 9,520. The Main Grandstand ticket holders will be able to enjoy the spectacular start of the race, follow the work of mechanics during pit stops and see the podium ceremony. The price of these tickets starts at RUB 20,700.

Sochi Autodrom Lounge Tickets are the most expensive ones - these tickets will offer world-class service, exquisite dishes and seats with an excellent view of the race track to those who prefer to spend their leisure time comfortably.

Richard Cregan, international consultant of the FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX promoter: "It's not just about the Russian Grand Prix, its about a weekend of entertainment in Sochi surrounding the Grand Prix".

Every guest of the Russian Grand Prix will have an opportunity to visit F1® Village, attend concerts and enjoy entertainment programs. Apart from the 2015 FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX, the circuit will hold rounds of the GP2™ and GP3™ Support Racing Series.

Today, Sochi Autodrom and SMP Racing announced a cooperation agreement. The plans of the organizers is the implementation of new projects such as the creation of a junior driving school on the basis of Sochi Autodrom and delivering different racing series events. Dmitry Samorukov, head of SMP Racing: "We consider Sochi Autodrom to be the centre of the Russian motorsport. We plan to equip our base here with a good choice of cars, all the rest is already here".
