(ATR)ThinkSport announces four dominant award partners who will be involved in the start-up battle at THE SPOT, which returns to Lausanne on May 28-29.

The four award partners chosen are Asics Tenkan-Ten Growth Catalyst, Eurovision Sport, Swiss Timing and UEFA.

"We are thrilled to have such prestigious partners for the start-up battle, which is a key element of THE SPOT experience. All of these four Award Partners perfectly embody the spirit of the event, embracing progress and innovation within their organisations, for the good of sport and society," said Director of ThinkSport Anne Hellman.

The selected partners will supervise various rounds of the start-up battle and help develop the young entrepreneurs skills.

The start-up battle is operated by Venturelab, and will feature 40 young companies pre-selected by THE SPOT.

On the first day of competition, the up-and-coming companies will compete in a total of four rounds.

Each round of competitions will result in one winner who will then progress to the final round which will be held the next day.

The jury will consist of experts from various fields such as academia, business, and sports.

The young entrepreneurs are motivated by the prestige, prize money and possible collaboration opportunities with the partners.

Also, in addition to the start-up battle, the second edition of THE SPOT will feature a Marketplace and Demo Zone. These new additions will allow participants to present and discover new products along with several networking opportunities.
