Only 10 days left before UEFA EURO 2016 in France, the "A SUIVRE" association and the City of Paris make the football world come to Paris ahead of time… To end the "L’Euro se met en scène" operation on a high note, ephemeral burning structures will be set up in the night of Saturday June 4th to Sunday June 5th in the Parc des Buttes Chaumont (19th arrondissement).
The Carabosse street theatre company has imagined a unique and surprising installation, accessible to all, that aims to transform a well-known Parisian site to narrate a poetic story to the passers-by. The show will stage flames in all their different aspects, and will use iron, sound and humour.
For "L’Euro se met en scène", the company created a poetic and oneiric universe, freely based on the football world. Usually motionless, the spectators are invited to walk around and wander at the heart of an exhibition set up inside the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. A sphere sparkling like diamonds, a burning football jersey and the voices of famous or unknown football players and supporters; this original artwork is about to welcome and amaze you!
"This meeting with the Parisians will be a unique experience where poetry and sport merge to be seen and heard! While the competition is getting closer every day, this original work closes in a "burning" way the artistic project created by A SUIVRE, that will, I hope, make Parisians and tourists dream!", said Bruno Julliard, First Deputy Mayor of Paris.
