IPC Athletics Get First Sponsor
The governing body for para-athletics announced Allianz as the body's first global sponsor.
Para-athletics is run by the International Paralympic Committee, which sees Allianz extend its agreement with the IPC on para-athletics.
Allianz will sponsors three2014 IPC Athletics Grand Prix, as well as the 2014 European Championships in Swansea, Wales.
"Allianz has a strong and exemplary track record for creating engaging awareness campaigns that help to raise the profile of para-sport and leading athletes, and I am confident this partnership will help do the same for para-athletics," Philip Craven, president of the IPC said of the deal.
Allianz will continue to serve as a partner of the IPC through 2016.
ITU Event Announces Partnership
International Triathlon Union World Triathlon Chicago announced a partnership with Columbia Management Thursday.
Columbia Management will serve as the financial services sponsor for the event. The World Triathlon Series goes to Chicago on June 27-29.
"Just like the competing triathletes, reaching our performance goals matters at Columbia Management, and how we reach them matters just as much," Ted Truscott, CEO of global asset management at Columbia Management, said in a statement.
As part of the sponsorship, Columbia Management will donate 60 race entries for athletes competing in the event.
FINA Appoints Marketing Agency
RedTorch will deliver digital marketing and sales operations for the next International Aquatics Federation (FINA) Convention.
The convention will take place from November 29 to December 1 in Qatar.
RedTorch will also present at the convention outlining the opportunities the convention presents to stakeholders.
"The hard-working team at RedTorch are a pleasure to work with and have delivered very good results for us in the past," Cornel Marculescu, FINA executive director, said in a statement.
"We are confident our partnership with RedTorch will help us succeed in delivering another great event for the global aquatics community."
