Spanish football content will now be shared in greater numbers than ever before following Real Federación Española de Fútbol’s (RFEF) decision to partner with leading global media company, Dugout.
The new partnership offers fans of Spanish football a diverse range of exclusive video content – bringing them even closer to Spain’s finest players via Dugout’s extensive network of premium publishers and on newly launched dedicated channels on Dugout.com and the Dugout App.
Spain’s men’s national side is the only team to have won three major national tournaments consecutively, winning their first ever FIFA World Cup in 2010, in between back to back UEFA EURO titles in 2008 and 2012. High-quality, bespoke video content of both the men’s and women’s Spanish national teams, including behind the scenes content, will now be available to Dugout’s growing global audience of 60 million football-loving fans.
The content partnership also includes Copa del Ray content, a competition steeped in history and tradition and one of the most prestigious national cup competitions in the world. Audiences will also have access to esports, with competitions like eCopa RFEF and GameHer included in the partnership deal. The best action on and off the pitch from the Spanish 2B and lower divisions and Futsal will also be shown to global audiences via Dugout.
Dugout’s latest collaboration follows recent content partnerships with PP Sports in China, Germany’s Onefootball and the iconic US-based Sports Illustrated with RFEF’s content now being distributed via Dugout’s Embed player to sit alongside editorial copy globally. RFEF joins over 100 leagues, clubs and federations already in partnership with Dugout, including its founding members A.C. Milan, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Elliot Richardson, Chairman at Dugout said:
"We are delighted that we can give our worldwide audience access to bespoke video content from one of the most decorated and exciting national teams in the world. The Spanish game has a broad appeal and we look forward to showcasing its diverse offering including content from the Copa del Rey, women’s football, Futsal and esports.
"RFEF’s content will now benefit from increased levels of engagement and exposure through our suite of engagement tools and on Dugout.com and the Dugout App which currently deliver 400 million views globally."
Rafa Zapatero, Audiovisual Director at RFEF said:
"In Spain, football is in our blood and we are thrilled to share our passion and love for the game with the rest of the world via Dugout. Dugout is the perfect partner for us as we look to engage even more global fans with RFEF’s competitions and matches – this collaboration will offer an intimate and never before seen view of our best men’s and women’s national team players.
"The Copa del Rey is a world-famous competition with a huge amount of interest in many international markets. Our deal with Dugout will also raise awareness about the exciting talent and potential in Futsal and our lower divisions plus our forward-thinking initiatives such as esports."
