Connecticut-based media and technology executive to serve two-year term as Independent Director
USA Triathlon today announced that Scott Sternberg, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based media and technology executive, has been appointed to the USA Triathlon Board of Directors. Sternberg will serve as an Independent Director for a two-year term starting in January 2021.
Sternberg has worked at companies such as Disney+, ESPN, Yahoo, Excite@Home as well as venture-backed start-ups. He currently specializes in Devices and Distribution Product Management at Disney Streaming Services and is Founder and Managing Partner at Starhill Partners, LLC, a Greenwich-based consulting firm.
His expertise spans across OTT video, mobile, data, and social eco-systems. Functionally, Sternberg offers strength in general and product management, strategy, business development and partnerships, and go-to-market leadership for growth oriented B2B2C businesses in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
"I am excited to join the USA Triathlon Board and help shape the sport’s growth trajectory, including membership, partnerships, awareness and development of the brand," Sternberg said. "I look forward to offering my support to enable USA Triathlon to bring out the best across all levels of athletes who seek to reap the benefits of triathlon in their communities."
"Scott’s wealth of expertise in media, technology and digital services will undoubtedly help to advance USA Triathlon’s key priorities — most notably, to elevate the brand and the sport as outlined in our 2021-28 Strategic Plan," said Joel Rosinbum, President of the USA Triathlon Board of Directors. "In addition, his experience in business development and partnerships will help drive the organization and industry forward as we look to rebound from the challenges of 2020 and seek new opportunities for growth and collaboration."
