FILA, TSE Consulting Ink Deal
TSE is the latest consultancy engaged by the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles.
Based in Lausanne, TSE Consulting will develop a strategic plan for wrestling following its exclusion by the IOC Executive Board back in February from a list of 25 "core" sports for the 2020 Olympics.
The initial contract covers a one-year period beginning in April 2013.
"A long-term strategic plan is exactly what we need right now to deal with the challenges that we face," FILA Acting President Nenad Lalovic said in a statement.
"TSE Consulting was recommended from a variety of sources and their extensive experience working with other international sports organizations speaks for itself."
TSE leads the development and implementation of both the IAAF Athletics World Plan and the World Archery Plan, among other international federation projects.
"Strategic planning is often difficult for a sports organization as it requires a lot of dedication and commitment to change," said TSE Managing Director Lars Haue-Pedersen.
"Wrestling is ready for this challenge and we look forward to working with them."
Terrence Burns, now of Teneo Strategy; Bob Condron, former media director for the U.S. Olympic Committee; a governance specialist and a few other key lobbyists are also assisting FILA in its campaign for Olympic reinstatement, Around the Rings is told.
