(ATR) The Foundation of Global Sports Development (GSD) symposium on 'Doping in Sport' will be led by International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven.
Craven will deliver the keynote address to begin the event, touching on topics including the latest Russian athlete ban at the Paralympics and previous doping issues at the Rio Games.
"We are incredibly honored to have Sir Philip join us for this symposium," GSD Executive Board member Steven Ungerleider said in a statement.
"His display of leadership during the 2016 Rio Paralympics was nothing short of courageous and I know many people are interested to learn what factors played into his decision."
Also speaking at the symposium are U.S. Anti-Doping Agency sports attorney William Brock III, Major League Baseball Chief Legal Officer Dan Halem, Vice President of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport Michael Lenard and more.
The event will be held at the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California on Apr. 13.

Media Rights and Broadcast Focus at SportsPro Live
The SportsPro Live conference in England at the Wembley Stadium will be tackling some of the most asked questions in sports broadcasting and media rights.

Registration Open for 2017 FEI Sports Forum
Registration is now open to the public for the 2017 edition of the FEI Sports Forum taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland beginning April 10.

"The annual FEI Sports Forum is the opportunity for everyone involved in equestrian sport to have their say on some of the most important current topics, and a key part of our governance structure," FEI Secretary General Sabrina Ibáñez said in a statement.
"The FEI prides itself on being open and transparent and this intensive two-day program will provide a platform for everyone to have their say, whether they are on-site delegates or online viewers."
The two day conference will be opened by FEI president Ingmar De Vos followed by a keynote address from the events hosts, the International Management Development Institute.
Day one of the conference will focus on FEI's jumping discipline with topics that include dress code, the future of FEI’s flagship team series the FEI Nations Cup, and more.
Also on the first day of the two-day program, Belgium’s four-time Olympians Ludo Philippaerts and Peter Bollen will be leading a presentation on youth development.
Day two includes an update by FEI Officials on the Dressage Judging Working Group and panels on risk management and endurance.
