Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT) can inform members of the media that there will no longer be an allocation of Red Zone media accreditation onsite at the three tournaments of the HSBC BWF World Tour in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Department of Disease Control of Thailand ruled that in addition to no spectators being allowed onsite, no media other than those permitted in the Green Zone for the duration of the Asian Leg, can attend the YONEX Thailand Open (12-17 January), TOYOTA Thailand Open (19-24 January) and HSBC BWF World Tour Finals (27-31 January).
BWF and BAT wish to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Both BWF and BAT will instead facilitate access to essential media content via the BWF Digital Media Hub. This includes images, flash quotes, and video interviews with players. Please sign up via the link below: http://eepurl.com/heUZ7H. More information will be sent to each media organisation upon registration.
Please understand that the decision by the Department of Disease Control of Thailand is to protect all participants at the tournaments. The BWF Digital Media Hub will be live from 7 January.
