(ATR)The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in partnership with Sport Singapore (SportSG) have created an educational training program to boost Para sport coaching in Singapore.

For the next two years SportSG and the IPC will be conducting courses under the Singapore Sports Institute's coaching development program related to training, IPC classification and more.

"As the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement we are delighted to establish this partnership with Sport Singapore and share our expertise in sports technical, Paralympic awareness and NPC management education," IPC Summer Sports Director Ryan Montgomery said in a statement.

"We are convinced that SportSG will be a true leader in developing IPC Sports and NPCs in Asia, with a focus on the Southeast Asian region, and are looking forward to the many successful programs to come."

The partnership was launched with an Educator training program taught by one of the most experienced Trainers of the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), the IPC’s education partner. That program was followed by a two day course on Para Sport Coaching. Fifty participants from Singapore and the surrounding regions had the opportunity to gain knowledge on the basics of the Paralympic movement and skill development.

New Omega CEO Discusses Olympic Relationship

Raynald Aeschilmann has been named the new chief executive officer of TOP Olympic sponsor Omega. Aeschilmann will be succeeding Stephen Urquhart who retired from his position after working with the company for 17 years

In an interview with the Financial Times, Aeschilmann discusses how supporting events such as the Olympics who not only match their values, help the Swiss watch-wear manufacturer reach younger generations and describes the benefits of being the sole watch brand sponsor.

"Athletics, swimming, golf and sailing have become our focus, and the fact that Omega is the only watch brand anyone sees during the Olympic Games is incredibly valuable." Aeschilmann tells the Financial Times.

Omega has been a TOP sponsor since the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics acting as the official time-keeper of the Games.

USLA Partners with TSE Consulting

To the PyeongChang Olympics Games and beyond TSE Consulting will be an official partner to the USA Luge Association.

The international consulting firm specializing in sport intends to assist the association in the recruitment and development of future talent.

"In our partnership with TSE Consulting, we are making it clear that we seek to achieve more in international racing, especially at the Olympic Games, USLA CEO Jim Leahy said in a statement.

"To do this, we needed an international consultant that has decades of experience in this arena. TSE will help us continue the pipeline and the development system that will enable us to build depth and keep us a contender for years to come".

USLA have already collected five Olympic medals and 18 during the 2015-2016 World Cup season and plan to win more with the help of TSE.

TSE and key USLA staff will be meeting in Utah, USA to determine the needs of the federation to begin the development process. A report of their discoveries will be finalized at the end of the year.

ITTF Ends Partnership with TMS International

The 13-year partnership between the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and TMS International has come to an end.

Since 2003 TMS International has worked to manage ITTF’s commercial rights and in turn increased the federation’s marketing revenue.

All responsibilities of TMS International will now be managed in house by the federation’s Marketing Director.

"Firstly, I would like to thank TMS on all their hard work over the years to assist the ITTF in commercializing our sport and bringing us a significant amount of marketing revenue. The time was right for a change, and I welcome the new challenge of bringing all the commercial rights in house, which will be managed by ITTF's Marketing & Asia Pacific Headquarters under the guidance of ITTF's Marketing Director Steve Dainton." ITTF President Thomas Weikert said in a statement.

Deals made under TMS International will be transferred back to the ITTF at the beginning of next year.
