Torino - 17 May 2021
The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) has published its 2020 Annual Report, recapping the highlights from the most challenging year in the history of the organisation.
The redesigned report outlines the successful competitions that were able to be staged in 2020, including four Olympic qualification events in Los Angeles, USA; Moscow, Russia; Cape Town, South Africa; and Sydney, Australia.
Information is also provided on the inclusion of Sport Climbing on the sport programmes of various multi-sport events and championships in the coming years, as well as updates on preparations for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
The report draws attention to the digital growth of the IFSC across all platforms while detailing the comprehensive broadcasting deals that were secured during the year.
IFSC President Marco Scolaris and IFSC Secretary General Debra Gawrych offer their reflections in the report’s opening messages, while the key outcomes of the two IFSC virtual assemblies from 2020 are also provided.
Printed on a carbon-neutral printer on 100% recycled and carbon-balanced paper stock, the report was produced in collaboration with Geneva-based brand and communications agency Touchline, which specialises in sustainability initiatives.
An innovative interactive digital version of the 2020 Annual Report offers readers four different covers and is available for download here.
