The International Canoe Federation (ICF) has announced an exclusive partnership with Swiss-based marketing and commercial rights specialists TRIDEM SPORTS.

The partnership will look to increase the profile and sponsorship engagement of the International Canoe Federation's top-level events, including the highly regarded World Cup Series and World Championships of the two Olympic-disciplines, canoe slalom and sprint.

The ICF selected TRIDEM SPORTS due to their success with other multi-discipline Olympic Sports, most notably Alpine Skiing and European Athletics; plus their in-depth knowledge and worldwide network within the sports industry.

Simon Toulson, ICF Secretary General, said, "This is an exciting time for canoeing with the growth in TV audiences and new markets we believe that partnering with TRIDEM SPORTS we can capitalise on their experience with Skiing in order to help us achieve our marketing and sponsorship goals over the next few years."

Christian Pirzer, CEO of TRIDEM SPORTS, commented, "We are excited about further expanding our activities in summer sports and look forward to working with the ICF. Canoeing has a long tradition as an Olympic sport and is becoming increasingly popular with fans of an outdoor lifestyle."

TRIDEM SPORTS is an international, independent full-service agency for sports management and sports rights marketing. Tridem Sports was founded in 2008 and is based in Freienbach, SZ. Its portfolio of rights includes event-marketing rights such as the FIS Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships and Engadin Skimarathon. It also manages the commercial rights of clients such as cross-country skiers Dario and Gianluca Cologna and Chef Benoit Violier.
