(ATR) The 2020 edition of the Vietnam Sport Show will feature a "hybrid" way for exhibitors to safely present their products without having to travel during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organizers will set up what is called a remote booth at the exhibition venue, complete with electricity, furniture and telecommunications. Personnel will be provided to staff the booth, displaying product samples and handling onsite transactions. The remote exhibitors will be connected virtually so that they can control booth activities and hold online meetings with visitors. Interpreters will also be provided.
The event takes place from Dec. 3-5 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is held concurrently with the 18th Vietnam International Trade Fair. Organizers expect 15,000 visitors to attend the Sport Show.
Almost 10,000 people attended the 2019 edition of the Vietnam Sport Show held in Hanoi. There were 117 exhibitors, almost all of them from Asia.

Virtual Smart Cities & Sport Summit
The new virtual platform for this year’s Smart Cities & Sport Summit is now open ahead of the event, which will be held on Oct. 27-28.
The Smart Cities & Sport Marketplace, which for the first time is set up as an online forum, is up and running and will be available throughout the event. The Marketplace allows cities and international federations to get in touch and arrange meetings at their convenience in order to share their ambitions regarding the hosting of future events.
Organizers say the summit will be streamed via the online platform and will be available live and in replay.
Forums will be open for discussions among the attendees.
The sessions will be offered at three different times throughout the day to maximize the number of people who can join live and take part in the discussions as they take place.
The available times are from 09:00-11:00, 13:00-15:00 and 18:00-20:00 CET. Discussion forums will remain open after sessions.

The coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 International Sports Convention. It was set to be held at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London after many years in Amsterdam and Geneva.
Organizers will try again in 2021, with the new dates of June 8-9 bringing the global sports business industry together at the new venue.
