(ATR) Organizers of the Gwangju 2019 World Championships are utilizing the Winter Olympics to give publicity to next year’s premier aquatics event.

The local organizing committee for the International Aquatics Federation’s world championships welcomed international media for a venue tour on Feb. 9 before the PyeongChang 2018 Opening Ceremony.

The Gwangju 2019 FINA World Championships will take place from July 12 to Aug. 11, 2019 at Nambu University. The aquatics facilities including the swimming and diving pools seem ready for the championships. Signage for the world championships can already be seen around the campus.

Gwangju 2019 also announced a new partnership with Burson-Marsteller Sport on Feb. 7. The consultancy firm "will provide advice on strategic communication including support with international media outreach, social and digital media and traditional media relations to the Gwangju 2019 team on its international communications and public relations strategy," according to BM Sport.
