The Global Esports Federation and the United Nations Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have formalized their intention to collaborate and contribute towards the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each organization will bring specific expertise and focus to facilitate the progress of four SDGs, aimed at empowering the youth of the world, in particular; SDG 3: good health and wellbeing, SDG 4: quality education, SDG 5: gender equality, and SDG 17: partnerships for the goals.
The GEF and UNESCO share a collective vision for a safe, healthy, and inclusive society in which youth are active agents of change; and have agreed to collaborate in mobilizing resources and activating the world’s esports and sporting communities, developing pathways for "building back better" as part of UNESCO’s "Fit for Life" initiative and the GEF’s #Elevate2030 program.
