FIS Chief Race Director Markus Waldner tests positive for Covid-19
This is to inform you that FIS Alpine Men's Chief Race Director Markus Waldner tested positive for Covid-19 directly following the slalom race in Flachau. Immediately upon receiving the result, Waldner went into self-isolation.
All individuals in close contact with Waldner, including the FIS support staff, have subsequently been re-tested for Covid-19 and the results were negative. Therefore, Assistant Race Directors Emmanuel Couder and Hannes Trinkl will take over the responsibilities of Waldner for the upcoming weekend races in Kitzbühel (AUT).
