(ATR) FINA celebrated the completion of its 2015 competition calendar with its second FINA Awards Gala Dinner on Jan. 31.
The gala was held in Budapest, Hungary, home of the 2017 FINA World Championships. Organizers of other future FINA events including Windsor 2016 were also in attendance.
FINA welcomed guests from around the Olympic Movement to the dinner, including ANOC president Sheikh Ahmad, IJF president Marius Vizer and Budapest 2024 bid leaders such as Balazs Furjes.
FINA athletes received awards in the six disciplines for their performances throughout the year.
Prior to the gala, FINA members held a meeting to decide the hosts of the 2021 and 2023 FINA World Championships, awarded to Fukuoka, Japan and Doha, Qatar respectively.
