(ATR) The full conference program for the 2018 International Aquatics Federation convention is online.
FINA says the program is designed to help national federations "embrace innovation, use practical tools to reach new audiences, generate new types of revenue, and promote our sport worldwide."
The FINA Convention will be held in Hangzhou, China, host of the 2022 Asian Games, from December 8-10. The three day conference will feature a total of nine conference sessions.
"Our Conference features the most respected minds within Aquatics and provides an idyllic learning platform for all Aquatics leaders and experts," Julio Maglione, FINA President, said in a statement.

VISTA 2019 Registration Opens
Registration is open for the VISTA 2019 Conference in Amsterdam.
The ninth edition of the conference for sports scientists and experts in Para sport is organized through a partnership between the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Amsterdam Institute of Sport Science (AISS).
Next year’s theme is "Healthy and Fit for Optimal Performance". Around 300 of the world’s leading sports scientists, sport medicine practitioners, classifiers, coaches, athletes and sport administrators are expected to attend the conference.
VISTA is designed to promote and advance the mission, goals, objectives and reputation of the IPC while providing a platform for the academic world to meet with athletes and professional experts in the field of sport for athletes with an impairment.
Attendees registering before June 1, 2019 at www.vista2019.com can take advantage of a discounted early bird registration rate. The conference will take place from September 4-7 at the Novotel Amsterdam City Hotel.
Stadia & Arena Japan 2019 officially announced
Sports Business Japan together with Stadia & Arena 2019 will take place at Saitama Super Arena from November 18-20.
The announcement this week includes plans for venue tours of both the Saitama Super Arena and the Saitama Stadium.
The 2018 edition of the conference and exhibition was held in Osaka in late August, attracting more than 4,000 visitors over two days.
A host of high-profile speakers, including a delegation from Rugby World Cup 2019, gave presentations.
In addition, panelists from across the globe discussed topics ranging from playing surfaces to venue design, operation and management and fan engagement.
OTT Summit in Madrid is Sold Out
SportsPro announced this week that the second version of the Madrid convention, which has doubled in size from the inaugural event, has sold out.
It will be held on November 28-29 at the headquarters of the Olympic Channel, which is a partner for the event.
The OTT Summit is expanding its agenda this year, adding seven new sessions and 20 more speakers to its schedule.
Over 600 attendees from more than 30 countries will visit, discussing topics centered around production strategies.Discussions on issues such as protecting live sports from illegal streaming and delivering content across different media platforms will be led by experts from top media companies. The Olympic Channel, Turner Sports, and NBC Sports executives are all scheduled to speak.
Sessions about eSports, artificial intelligence, and social media consumption are also featured during the event.
The rapid growth of the SportsPro OTT Summit certainly was an impetus to creating an Asian edition.
The inaugural SportsPro OTT Summit Asia was announced last week. The event, which will be held in Singapore on March 27-28, 2019, will be dedicated to the over-the-top (OTT) industry in Asia. SportsPro says it will unite 200 senior executives from all areas, including broadcasters, rights holders, content distributors, social platforms and technology providers.
"We're really excited to launch this event, dedicated to what is the most important subject shaping the sports industry today,"Nick Meacham, managing director, SportsPro Media, said in a statement. "The evolving consumer appetite for more on-demand and multiscreen viewing is transforming the TV market globally, but no more so than in Asia."

Online registration is now open for SPORTELAsia 2019, which is March 5-7 in Macau.

International Sports Convention 2018
The 2018 edition of the International Sports Convention (ISC) takes place on December 5-6 in Geneva, Switzerland.
ISC 2018 features 18 conferences and seminars with more than 150 speakers and 50 exhibitors on topics such as sports tourism, broadcasting, governance, and sponsorship. Specific sports, such as esports and basketball will also be featured. The International Sports Awards 2018 will also be integrated into the convention.
Advertised as the world’s largest sports convention of 2018, more than 1,500 people from over 80 countries are expected to attend, placing a focus on convergence and networking between the attendees and the conferences themselves.
