The ITF has announced the final results for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group first round and Zone Group ties held on 6-8 March. A total of 33 ties have taken place this weekend. The World Group first round tie between Argentina and Brazil will recommence on Monday 9 March at 11am (2pm GMT) after bad light stopped play on Sunday.

In the World Group quarterfinals, on 17-19 July, Great Britain will be at home to France, Australia will host Kazakhstan, Belgium will play at home against Canada, while Serbia will play the winner of the tie between Argentina and Brazil. The deadline for confirmation of the quarterfinal venues is 7 April.

The fourth rubber of the tie between Argentina and Brazil was the longest Davis Cup singles rubber in history and the second longest singles match of all time. Leonardo Mayer (ARG) defeated Joao Souza (BRA) 76(4) 76(5) 57 57 1513 in six hours 43 minutes.

The eight World Group first round losers will contest the World Group play-offs on 18-20 September, where they will be joined by the eight winners of the Zone Group I second round ties on 17-19 July (NB Colombia has already won its second round tie). The draw for the World Group play-offs will be held at the ITF in London on Tuesday 21 July.
