Giorgio Armani - one of the world’s most recognizable fashion brands has extended its Olympic agreement with the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI). Through a collaboration with its sportswear brand EA7 line, Armani will outfit the Italian team over the next four years - up to and including the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.

The collaboration was announced this week at the Armani/Teatro in Milan, Italy as part of a two-day event kicking off the upcoming winter sport season that will feature the new line of technical gear for competitions.

Through its partnership with CONI and various other organizations, such as Italian and Swiss ski schools, Armani began its relationship with the Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, PyeongChang in 2018, and continued with Beijing in 2022.

“The world of sport never ceases to inspire and excite me. It is animated by the values in which I deeply believe: team spirit, hard work, respect and loyalty. This new collaboration, which will lead to the Milano-Cortina Olympic Games, is a further step on the path that I have undertaken for years, with great satisfaction, comparing myself with the greatest athletes.

“Winter sports are a wonderful territory in which to experience style and performance, with a renewed attention to the environment,” said Armani.

The new collection color pallet features a burgundy and gray shade, which are characterized by various shades and feature the letters “ITA” along with three graphic brushstrokes of the national flag.

“The EA7 Emporio Armani brand has always represented excellence in the world of sport. The Italian Winter Sports Federation is proud and honored to dress its athletes with this brand for the next four years, sharing their path towards the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics that will put Italy and our teams at the center of world attention“ stated FISI President Flavio Roda.

As the winter sport season in Italy get underway, the country’s athletes will be sporting EA7′s performance-oriented equipment. Some of these include ski suits, puffers, jackets, and mid-layers. They will also be wearing various leisurewear such as T-shirts, track pants, and vests.

The EA7 team will have cutting-edge technology, Ardor7, throughout its padding - which is made from a combination of microfibers and polyester. Another innovation used by the company is the use of a recycled polyester and a microfiber stuffing called Stratum7.

Although the EA7 Emporio Armani kit was worn during the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, the new partnership is the first time Armani will provide the team with technical outfits used in competitions.

“Over the past few years, Mr. Armani has been building a brand that started out as an exploration of sportswear to rapidly become an important player in the field,” Giuseppe Marsocci, deputy general manager and chief commercial officer of Giorgio Armani, said at Monday’s event.

“[EA7] represents an important connection between fashion and sport, the first important example of such tie-ins.…We embarked on this adventure with eagerness to learn something new along the journey that will take us through Milano Cortina 2026,” he added.

EA7 Emporio offers technical and leisure clothing aimed at sports enthusiasts and professionals. The logo refers to seven different areas: training, tennis, basketball, driving, water sports, mountain, golf.
