Karrie Webb has accomplished everything possible during her illustrious golfing career. She won 41 times on the LPGA Tour, including seven major championships, and was inducted into World Golf Hall of Fame in 2005. Another career achievement could happen two years from now.

The Australian, 47, was nominated to be the captain of Australia’s men’s and women’s golf team at the Paris 2024 Olympics according to Golf Australia.

Her name will be then put forward to the Australian Olympic Committee for approval to replace former major winner Ian Baker-Finch who captained Australia in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

“If the Aussies are playing well in the lead-up to Paris we will feel pretty good going in there, and that we have a good chance at a medal,” said Webb.
