The Paris 2024 Board of Directors has approved the general framework of the ticketing program for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With almost 13 million tickets to be sold, Paris 2024 is offering a variety of tickets at affordable prices to make these Games more accessible to all.

“We will have 13.4 million tickets up for sale – 10 million for the Olympics and 3.4 million for the Paralympics. This is a unique amount of tickets,” Paris 2024 chief Tony Estanguet said.

“It’s ambitious. We believe the Paris 2024 Games will be unique. The ticketing program represents one-third of our revenue. So, it’s really important for us to maximize this program.”

For the Olympic Games, the public can purchase tickets for all Olympic sports from €24, while half of the tickets will cost less than €50.

“We wanted to have a ticketing program starting with tickets at 24 euros for all sports. It will represent over one million tickets at this price,” he said. “This is a very strong promise. To give access to all Olympic sports. Half of the tickets will be under 50 euros.”

For the first time in the history of the Games, all tickets for the Paris 2024 will be sold through a dedicated online platform.

In preparation for the Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held in France for the first time, Paris 2024 has been working with various stakeholders to improve the accessibility of sports for people with disabilities. Through its endowment fund, the company has been able to finance various projects aimed at improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Spectators can watch all the events of the Paralympic Games from €15, while half of the tickets sold to the general public will be priced at less than €25.

Estanguet says it’s important “to offer accessibility of everyone to Olympic sports.” Paris aims to raise 1.1 billion euros ($1.22 billion) in revenue — about 30 percent of its budget — from ticket sales, he said.

He also added a draw would be made due to the anticipation that there will be more people wanting to buy tickets than those available.

“The early draw means people won’t have to go through the whole process of choosing, trying to buy tickets first and end up empty-handed,” Estanguet said.

“By February 2023, we will launch the (actual) sale of the tickets.”
