WSCorp is the group specialized in live entertainment, creation of large shows and global events with a turnover of € 105 million in 2019. The turnover forecast for 2020 was € 150 million, with the aim of redoubling in 3 years. Today, because of COVID, 50% of the projects planned for 2020 have been postponed to 2021.
The Corporation, founded in Milan in 2013 by Marco Balich, Gianmaria Serra and Simone Merico, today controls three companies: BalichWS, operating in institutional events and Olympic Ceremonies, FeelRougeWS, specialized in luxury and corporate events and HQWS, based in Dubai, that is the most a renowned company in the Middle East event’s organization.
After years of growth and consolidation, the founding partners have decided to give to the Corporation a new set of ambitious goals such as long-term management and a new format of live entertainment. WSCorp has undertaken on a process of transformation with the insertion of new and fundamental resources for its development, as the appointment of Stefano Core new CEO of WSCorp.
Stefano Core is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in general management, marketing, commercial and strategic consulting, developed in different sectors and in various geographical areas (Italy, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentina and Asia). Core joins WSCorp after founding and directing ItalianCreationGroup, and after working as COO in Telecom Italia and Argentina and as a consultant in Value Partners.
"WSCorp is an integrated entertainment group that creates and produces spectacular live experiences, that operates worldwide and with a style that stands out for audacity, beauty, culture and emotion," said Stefano Core, WSCorp CEO. "I believe that this sector, having interesting growth and consolidation prospects, will attract new capitals including those of private equity. This process of consolidation and strengthening of the system will certainly lead to a creation of value that will enable WSCorp to drive the change".
The Corporation will be organized into four entertainment business units: institutional ceremonies, events, immersive shows (after the success of "The Sistine Chapel Immersive Show") and special projects, which include interactive icons (such as the Tree of Life, the icon of EXPO Milan 2015) and emotional engineering of real estate projects.
The reorganization involves a cosmopolitan team of about 140 employees and around 2100 freelancers from 48 different nationalities in over 70 projects and live shows on average every year.
Despite the COVID context, WSCorp confirms its solidity and growth objectives in the Middle East, Europe and South America, including the Tokyo 2020/2021 Olympic Ceremonies of which Marco Balich is Executive Producer, scheduled one year from today.
The Corporation continues its process of growth by investing in live entertainment and creating emotions, with a strong Italian group that exports all over the world a new approach to creativity.
