(ATR) The inaugural World Olympians Forum wound down Thursday in Moscow.
It was a meeting like no other, with some of the most famous and decorated medalists of all time in attendance. Nearly 300 Olympians from about 150 countries gathered to discuss ways to empower their national associations.
One of the highlights the signing of the Declaration of Support for the Olympic Charter by Olympians from each of the five continents. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the keynote address and then held a series of private meetings. Thursday featured the general assembly, which saw the election of the executive board and re-election of Joel Bouzou as president.
