The Competitions at The World Games 2013 in Cali, Colombia, can be watched worldwide on TV in 120 countries. In total, 25 TV stations are covering the multisport event, running until August 4th, where over 4500 competitors from 101 nations are competing for the medals. Among the group of broadcast partners, are big public channels such as CCTV from China, KBS from Korea, SABC from South Africa and Czech TV from Czech Republic, as well as major sport networks (as ESPN Latin America, FOX Sport Asia, Setanta in Africa or Sportklub from Europe) among others.
Colombian organizers and the host broadcast from Señal Colombia have produced more than 100 hours of footage of the event, most of it for live transmission. Around 230 people, headed by Santiago Ortega, are involved in the production of the international broadcasts, making available over 60 hours of footage worldwide for TV stations. The German UFA sport company is managing the International distribution, on behalf of the IWGA.
