World Cup IX game schedule released with a record eight countries participating

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball announced today the 32-game schedule of the World Cup of Softball IX to be hosted by Southern California ASA held in Irvine, Calif. July 7-13. A record eight countries including Canada, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Puerto Rico, USA, and Venezuela, are scheduled to participate at Bill Barber Park, Deanna Manning Stadium this summer. A sanctioned event by the International Softball Federation (ISF), the Japanese National team will look to defend its World Cup title as they defeated Team USA 6-3 in the championship game in 2013.
