DUBAI - BWS Mea and HQWS are proud to announce the companies’ appointment as Executive Producers of the Dubai World Cup 2019 main event and of the HH Horse Racing Excellence Awards 2019.
After the experience of the main event for the Dubai World Cup 2017, the WS Corp group confirms its special relationship with two of the most important horseracing events in the world and its role of leadership in the United Arab Emirates live events market.
Launched in 1996 at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse and now held annually on the last Saturday in March at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, the US$12m Dubai World Cup is the climax of the world’s richest day of racing, worth a world-record prize money amount of $35 million.
The HH Horseracing Excellence Awards are an expression of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s passion for horses. These annual awards honour the best in the industry across six categories: Best Horse, Best Jockey, Best Trainer, Best Owner, People’s Choice and Lifetime Achievement.
"It has been a great honour to be chosen once again as a partner of these world excellence horseracing events," said Simone Merico, WS Corp Vice President. "For us, this is an important demonstration that our companies—BWS Mea and HQWS—are reinforcing their leadership role in such a key market for the Group as the UAE."
