Montreal: The World Anti-Doping Agency has appointed Ben Nichols as its new Senior Manager, Media Relations and Communications.

Mr. Nichols brings with him ten years’ experience working in the sports communications industry and joins from London-based marketing agency Influence where he managed the Sports PR portfolio.

He has worked for some of the world’s leading sports governing bodies and competitions including the ATP, Olympic Council of Asia, Wimbledon, British F1 Grand Prix, NBA Europe, Emirates Dubai Rugby Sevens and the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race.

He was Press Officer of the award-winning Dubai Tennis Championships for two years (2009, 2010), before going on to work as Formula 1 team Lotus Renault GP’s Senior Press Officer.

Previous experience also includes sub-editing on the sport desks for English newspapers The Times, Sunday Times and Evening Standard.

Il a travaillé pour plusieurs instances sportives dirigeantes et grands événements sportifs mondiaux, dont l’ATP, le Conseil olympique d’Asie, Wimbledon, le Grand Prix de F1 de Grande-Bretagne, NBA Europe, Emirates Dubai Rugby Sevens et la course d’aviron Oxford-Cambridge.

Il a aussi été responsable des relations médias pendant deux ans pour les prestigieux Championnats de tennis primés de Dubaï, en 2009 et 2010, avant de joindre l’équipe de Formule 1 Lotus Renault à titre de responsable principal des relations médias.

Dans le passé, il a occupé le poste de rédacteur adjoint aux sports pour différents quotidiens britanniques, dont The Times, Sunday Times et Evening Standard.
