Winterberg (RWH) Skeleton slider Martins Dukurs of Latvia has won his second victory of theseason in the fourth round of the Viessmann FIBT Bob & Skeleton World Cup Tour 2013/2014.Dukurs, who came overall first in all four World Cup Tours since the last Winter Games, was 1.19seconds faster than his brother Thomass Dukurs on the Winterberg Hochsauerland ice track.Russia’s Alexander Tretyakov was able to defend his lead in the current overall World Cuprankings with a third (1.53 seconds back).
The lead in the Viessmann FIBT World Cup rankings continues to be held by Alexander Tretyakovwith 845 points. World Cup titleholder Martins Dukurs is second with 820 points, and Matt Antoineof the USA, who came fourth in Winterberg, is overall third with 785 points.
