Schulte Sports Marketing & Public Relations, Inc. announced today that 1968 USA Olympic Gold Medal winner Dick Fosbury will join its current roster of clients for marketing, licensing, endorsements, corporate appearances and public relations effective immediately.

As a high school athlete in Medford, Oregon, Dick Fosbury revolutionized the high jump when he developed an innovative technique that quickly became known as "The Fosbury Flop." His "back-first" approach has been the universal technique used by elite high jumpers since.

"We are extremely pleased to have Dick Fosbury join our team," said Ray Schulte, CEO / President of Schulte Sports. "Beyond his unparalleled success throughout his career, Dick is a game-changer, an iconic athlete who is still a fan favorite throughout the world."

Fosbury won the Gold Medal at the Mexico City Olympic Games by clearing the bar at 7'4 1/4" breaking Olympic and American records. He turned professional in 1973 and joined the International Track Association (ITA).

Dick was elected to the USA Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1981, and then inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame in 1992.

"I'm looking forward to working with Ray and his team. They have an excellent reputation and track record in the sports management industry," said Dick Fosbury. "Their knowledge, experience and skills in building personal and business relationships will be invaluable to me going forward."

Dick currently serves as Honorary Chairman of the Simplot Games, the largest high school level indoor track meet in the USA and is Vice President of the United States Olympians Association. He continues to coach young athletes through the Dick Fosbury Track Camps and makes corporate appearances around the world.
