Offering five days of coverage from the biennial event, UniversalSports.com will stream 70 hours of action from Rounds 4 and 5, the 1/8 Finals, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals between March 28 and April 1. This year’s World Team Table Tennis Championship will feature the world’s best table tennis teams competing for the first time since 2010, when powerhouse China won the men’s title and Singapore upset China in the women’s competition. Heading into this year’s event, the top ranked men’s teams are China, Germany, Korea Republic, Japan and Russia, while the top-ranked women’s teams are China, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and Korea Republic. Traditionally dominant table tennis countries include China, with a combined total of 34 team championships, Japan with 15, Hungary with 12 and Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic and Slovakia) with nine. The United States has won three team championships andwill also be represented in Dortmund.
