Istanbul based sports and entertainment marketing company, Impact34, has worked together with the Turkish Basketball Federation in the past six months to prepare a strategic plan and corporate identity. Turkish Basketball Federation launched the new strategic plan and corporate identity at the Conrad Hotel in Istanbul to a distinguished audience of veteran players, government officials, sponsors and media. The vision for the future builds on TBF’s successful past and aims at bringing Turkish basketball to an even higher level.

Bettina Kuperman, CEO Impact34: "TBF is one of the strongest sports brands in Turkey. The incredible results and the hosting of major sports events have placed Turkish basketball firmly among the top basketball nations in the world. The export of Turkish players to the NBA and the significant number of top foreign players in the Turkish basketball leagues are further examples of how Turkish basketball has reached a global audience. We look forward to working closely together with TBF to fulfil their vision of becoming the best basketball federation in the world."

The strategic plan presents a new model for sports success. The medal winning performances in the past years has increased interest in basketball and the participation numbers are increasing. This gives TBF a bigger talent pool to choose from and stronger talent to develop, which can turn into more medal winning performances and create a system for sustainable sports success. TBF has identified two areas that will drive the model for success and therefore are the main focus in the strategic plan – hosting major sports events and marketing.

Turgay Demirel, President Turkish Basketball Federation: "In sports nothing happens by chance. It takes planning and hard work to achieve sustainable sports success and to develop the sport on all levels. We have, together with Impact34, analysed our organisation’s strengths and weaknesses and developed a model and set objectives that we believe will cement our position as a leader in national and international sports. Impact34’s advice and understanding of the local and international sports environment has been crucial in this process."
