Lausanne - November 22, 2017

LAUSANNE, November 22, 2017 - TSE Consulting and RFRSH Entertainment have partnered to provide cities with the unique opportunity to discover and live one of the hottest activities in sport right now – eSport. This special one-and-a-half-day programme for cities will take place around the eSport BLAST Pro Series’ Premiere on November 24-25, 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

More than 10 cities from around the world - including representatives from Amsterdam (NED), Athens (GRE), Barcelona (ESP), Eindhoven (NED), Istanbul (TUR), Malmö (SWE), Stockholm (SWE), Tampere (FIN) and Yangzhou (CHN) - will experience BLAST Pro Series’ Premiere; the world’s newest and most explosive live eSport event.

During the programme, city representatives will be able to get a taste of RFRSH Entertainment’s new and unique event and have the opportunity to attend the host city workshop, where they will learn more about the eSport industry, including the benefits and conditions for hosting BLAST Pro Series and how the event can be fully activated.

To further their experience, cities will also be able to meet the current host of BLAST Pro Series, Wonderful Copenhagen, and attend a presentation from Copenhagen Capacity, who successfully developed a campaign to attract new ‘tech’ talents.

Jordi Roig, Chief Commercial Officer of RFRSH Entertainment, said: "Esport is the primary choice of competitive entertainment for hundreds of millions of hard-to-reach young people around the globe. With the BLAST Pro Series, we have created a format that has prioritised audience entertainment, both for die-hard fans and casual spectators, and we believe that this format will be the future of eSport entertainment. The city eSport programme, which we have developed alongside TSE Consulting, is a unique opportunity for cities to see the level of entertainment and excitement that eSport offers."

Lars Haue-Pedersen, Managing Director of TSE Consulting, added: "While most cities are still investigating the potential of eSport, this programme will provide the participants with a first-hand experience of what it looks and feels like, furthering considerations of how it can work for them. Esport is one of the most attractive event concepts currently available on the market, and we look forward to accompanying cities in this exciting adventure!

Held in Copenhagen’s newly-constructed Royal Arena, the BLAST Pro Series’ Premiere will feature six of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams in the world battling live on stage for a prize pool of $250,000. With more than 10,000 spectators in attendance, and an estimated 10 million eSports enthusiasts tuning in via live stream, the BLAST Pro Series’ Premiere is expected to be on the largest eSport tournaments to be held in Europe.
