Dr. Digel's experience within sport can be seen both in his contributions to the Institute of Sport Science at the University of Tuebingen in Germany, as well as through his contribution to national and international sport, mainly through his roles within the National Olympic Committee of Germany and as a current Council Member of the International Athletics Association Federation (IAAF), were he also served as Vice President for six years.

Digel joins nine other highly recongnised academics in the network of TSE Academic Advisors - each specialised in sport related topics such as communication, marketing, management, economics and law. The Academic Advisors ensure that TSE Consultants worldwide are up-to-date on the latest research trends and findings for the benefits of their clients. TSE is then able to provide a link between the academic and practical world of sport - combining knowledge and experience and generating inspiration for new and needed research.

Professor Dr. Helmut Digel said: "I am really looking forward to joining the group of TSE Academic Advisors. Being able to contribute my knowledge and experience will be an exciting endeavor. Being in contact with TSE and their other Academic Advisors will certainly bring new and innovative ideas to the table."

Managing Director of TSE Consulting, Lars Haue-Pedersen said, "Dr. Digel is very well respected and admired and so we are very pleased to have him join our Academic Advisors. We forged a relationship with him through our work at the IAAF and look forward to further developing this. There is no doubt he will bring fresh perspectives that will be of value to many of our client assignments."
