The Olympic flame arrived in Sochi on Wednesday for the final leg of the torch relay and, ultimately, the 2014 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Around the Rings editor Ed Hula is set to run with the torch on Thursday. He will be among more than300 torchbearers who will run with the flame in Sochi prior to the kick off for the Winter Olympics.
IOC member Sergey Bubka ran with the torch today and told RIA Novosti he predicts a "great Olympics" for Sochi.
PyeongChang 2018 Organizing Committee president Kim Jin-Sun also carried the flame on Wednesday. Kim told reporters he hopes to "closely study the operation of the Sochi Games to enhance and fine tune" preparations in PyeongChang for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The flame ended the day in Krasnaya Polyana after touring several sites on the Black Sea coast by train.
RIA Novosti has reported a "star-studded" conclusion for the torch relay in Sochi.Organizers have announced several famous figures will carry the torch during the final leg of the relay, including IOC president Thomas Bach.
Russian tennis player Elena Vesnina will open the final day of the torch relay in Sochi.
Olympic pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva, bobsledder Alexey Voyevoda, and figure skaters Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov will also carry the flame before the commencement of the Sochi Games on Friday.
