Paris hosts on Saturday the international FIA Formula E Championship, which will be a feast for electric mobility. The organizers insisted that the carrier ePrix is also a legacy for the Parisians, by donating a Aquafuel unit to the City of Paris.
By hosting an event of the International Championship FIA Formula E in Paris, Anne Hidalgo has a double objective: firstly educate the public to more environmentally friendly mobility, on the other hand enhance the automakers who do choice to invest in this area.
This approach is similar to that of Alejandro Agag, the President of Formula E, which is that this 100% electric motorsport is carrying a legacy for the citizens, based on technologies that are both innovative and clean.
This Championship has been designed by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) to be not only an exciting sporting competition, but also a genuine platform for the global adoption of electric vehicles, which help reduce air pollution heart of the cities and the fight against climate change.
It is in this spirit that the organizers of the event announced today their decision to offer the City of Paris Aquafuel a unit at the end of this year 2017. This is a revolutionary energy system near the "zero emission", where the diesel is replaced by glycerin, a neutral carbon element derived from the biodiesel production. Glycerin is a fuel to be both safe, odorless, non-toxic and soluble in water.
The Aquafuel unit available in Paris can be used as a stationary generator, able to provide for electricity and heating of an existing building, or as a mobile generator to deploy events or to power vehicles charging points electric.
In a $333,486value, this unit offers fully automated operation and can be connected to the French electricity grid to return any excess electricity produced. It will be produced tailored to the needs of the City of Paris and delivered in August 2017.
Anne Hidalgo thank the organizers of the International Championship FIA Formula E for this gift that strengthens the leadership of Paris in the field of energy transition and fight against climate change.
