Soccerex are pleased to announce that former England manager Terry Venables will be participating in a one-to-one interview conducted by Jeff Powell from the Daily Mail, at this year's Soccerex European Forum, 28-29 March.

This exclusive session will address the pertinent topic of managing England. With his knowledge and experience of the role, Terry will be invited to give his thoughts on who the next England manager should be, the difficulties associated with the position, whether the appointed manager should actually be of English origin and his thoughts on England's prospects for the European Championships this summer in Poland-Ukraine.

During Venables' 23 match tenure as England Manager the team only lost once and reached the semi-finals of the European Championships(1996); he was national team manager from 1994 to 1996 and assistant manager from 2006 to 2007. After his role as England manager Terry went to on to become manager of Australia, 1996 - 1997; he has also managed several clubs including Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers, Tottenham and Leeds United in England, and Barcelona in Spain. Terry's managerial accolades include a La Liga title (1984-85) and the Spanish League Cup (1986) with Barcelona and winning the FA Cup and the Charity Shield with Tottenham (1991).

'Any England football fan will know how close Terry took England to international triumph in 1996; he is arguably one of the most successful English Managers since Sir Alf Ramsey and speaking from personal family experience I know how hard the role is. His insight is so relevant right now with the current Harry, Tottenham and England debate...I very much look forward to hearing his opinions on the matter,' said Duncan Revie, Soccerex CEO.

The one-to-one with Terry is part of a larger conference agenda which also includes sessions on UEFA's move to centralise media rights, player and coach development, the art of management - a master-class with Rafael Benitez, betting, the effects of financial fair play on club ownership, the relationship between football and the media and the Soccerex Supplement: a session with some of football's biggest names. There will also be workshops on emerging markets, the stadia industry, commercial opportunities for clubs and the EPFL.

Delegates attending this year's event will benefit from a packed exhibition showcasing the latest industry products and services. There will also be a series of informal and formal networking opportunities for delegates to maximise the business opportunities available and enjoy the unique atmosphere Soccerex events create.
