Values such as Respect, Attitude, Courage and Union are fundamental in the life of an Olympic athlete. The Olympic Committee of Brazil (COB) launches Team Brazil’s new campaign based on these values and the personal stories of athletes such as Arthur Nory (Artistic Gymnastics), Alison and Bruno (Beach Volleyball), Bruninho and Gabi Guimarães (Volleyball), Pepê Gonçalves (Canoe Slalom), Isaquias Queiroz (Speed Canoe), Rafaela Silva (Judo), Ana Marcela Cunha (Aquatic Marathon), Marcus Vinicius de Almeida (Archery) and Maria Clara Lobo, Duda Miccuci and Luiza Borges (Synchronized Swimming). The objective is to bring athletes and fans closer together, strengthen the Team Brazil brand and help create the idols of Brazilian sports.
The slogan of the campaign is 'Our team is Brazil’, which will be focused on Team Brazil’s digital channels, with a refreshed concept and a more modern discourse. It will also be broadcast on SporTV and media in some airports in Brazil. "The entire campaign is focused on the athletes and their stories, which show traces present in the life of every Brazilian. Everyone has a bit of Rafaela, Bruninho, Isaquias, Nory, Alison and Bruno, to name only the Rio 2016 Games medalists who are in the new campaign. We will bring the athlete closer to the fan with this new campaign and the other actions that will be carried out throughout this Olympic cycle," explains Rafael Grabowsky, COB’s General Commercial and Marketing Manager.
The second stage of the campaign will show the stories of some athletes and how the values they carry build Team Brazil. Fans will also be able to tell their personal stories involving the values portrayed in the campaign. Attendance by an old acquaintance of Team Brazil’s fans, Ginga, the team's mascot, has also been guaranteed. "Ginga represents the Brazilian athletes and fans. During the Rio 2016 Games his presence was a success and he will certainly be part of the campaign, showing his values and telling his story," adds Rafael.
Team Brazil is the brand of Brazilian athletes. The team that represents a nation made up by more than 200 million fans: the union of all sports; the passion for sports and the pride of competing with determination for our Country. It is the meeting point between athletes and fans, who, together, vibrate with enthusiasm, forming a single team.
