Supponor, the high tech media company revolutionising sports marketing, has announced its sponsorship of the Telegraph Business of Sport Conference. The inaugural event, set to take place on May 13 and 14 2015, will see over 170 major stakeholders from the sports industry gather together at the BT Centre in London.

Featuring a number of key figures from the sporting world including Lord Sebastian Coe and Debbie Jevans, the Telegraph Business of Sport Conference will focus on the impact of sporting events, changing business models in sport and new ways of engaging global audiences. There will also be case studies, panel sessions and in-depth interviews hosted by Jake Humphrey and Clare Balding. As the official Silver Sponsor, Supponor will be integral to the event and will be holding a drinks reception open to all delegates on the evening of May 13.

A decade in development, Supponor’s real time Digital Billboard Replacement technology (DBRLive) is a ground-breaking media-tech platform that tailors in-event advertising, such as pitch-side billboards, to deliver relevant content to specific regional audiences around the world as part of a live broadcast. The technology enables rights holders to offer their commercial partners more – and more targeted – brand association, enabling them to deliver distinct, audience-specific messaging without inventory wastage.

Of their partnership with the conference, Roger Hall, Supponor’s Chief Executive, said: "The Telegraph Business of Sport conference is a perfect match for Supponor. Through our partnership, we have the opportunity to showcase DBRLive to all who benefit from its use - brands, rights holders and the media.

"The 2014/15 season has seen our technology featured at more major global sporting events than ever before – including our 50th game in Spain’s La Liga. During the conference, delegates will be able to view the technology in action and find out more about the significance of DBRLive in unlocking a number of commercial opportunities".

Alex Foster, Divisional Director of Telegraph Events, said of the event: "Britain is one of the world’s greatest sporting nations, and has played host to some of the world’s biggest events. The new Telegraph Business of Sport Conference will bring together key industry players who have helped to shape the sporting industry, discussing the key issues for brands, right-holders and broadcasters. We are delighted that Supponor is sponsoring the conference and bringing its revolutionary DBRLive platform and world class broadcast technology innovation to this timely event."

Keith Perry, ‎Group Sport Managing Editor at Telegraph Media Group, said: "There are few more dynamic and fascinating businesses than the sport business which is now said to be worth $145 billion per year. The Telegraph’s Business of Sport conference will provide a unique opportunity for business-focused dialogue between sponsors, right holders and broadcasters. I'm not sure that Britain will have previously seen such a remarkable group of sports industry experts under one roof."
