Sportel Conference Returns to Monaco -- Conferences and Conventions

(ATR) The Sportel Conference will be making its annual stop in Monaco beginning Oct. 23, where organizers expect hundreds of business leaders in attendance.

"It is a great satisfaction to experience an event like Sportel, with almost 30 years existence, which continues to grow year after year," Sportel Monaco Mediax CEO Laurent Puons said in a statement.

"It is truly phenomenal to see how important Sportel conventions are to the industry and a privilege to us that the world leading sports entities trust us with their business. Three months away from the Convention, 86% of the exhibition space has already been booked for 2017."

FIFA, NBC Universal and more are already confirmed exhibitors of the event.

The conference will offer a daily networking breakfast along with numerous panel discussions for delegates to attend. Details on the full list of panels and program for Sportel Monaco are soon to be announced.

The Sportel Awards will once again take place during the convention this year. During the ceremony the best international sports videos and illustrated books will be rewarded. The awards ceremony will be held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on Oct. 24.

Sportel Monaco will conclude on Oct. 26.

Team USA Hosts Media Summit for Upcoming Games

Team USA athletes will have the opportunity to engage with media about their preparations for their next chance at Olympic glory.

The two-day Team USA media summit, hosted by the United States Olympic Committee, will take place Sep. 24-27 in Park City, Utah.

The USOC will make more than 100 of USA's Olympians and Paralympians available for short interviews and photo opportunities as they talk about their challenges and hopes while preparing for the next Games.

Olympic medalists Ashley Wagner, Gus Kenworthy, Lindsey Jacobellis and Gracie Gold are among athletes attending the event.

Head coaches for the U.S. Olympic ice hockey teams will also be available for press.

2017 Learfield Intercollegiate Athletics Forum Early Bird Deadline Approaching

Sep. 29 is the last day delegates will have the opportunity to purchase Learfield Intercollegiate Athletics Forum tickets at a discounted rate.

The conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan in New York. Click here for registration information.

The forum intends to focus on the business of college sports and expects more than 500 intercollegiate athletics executives in attendance.

Speakers for the event will soon be announced.

IWG Initiates Change Through New Workshop

The International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) conference begins May 17, 2018 in Gaborone, Botswana.

The IWG intends to bring together scholars, leaders, athletes as well as key sport organizations to examine ways to spread positive change for women and sport in Africa.

The theme of the conference next year is "Determine the future. Be part of the change".

The intensive four-day conference features workshops and panel discussions exploring topics such women empowerment and leveraging media to advocate for women's sports.

The IWG conference will conclude May 20, 2018.
