Sportcal and GlobalSportsJobs to Host Workshops during #SAC2016

#SAC2016 will take place at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne

Sportcal, a long-term Media Partner from the inception of SportAccord Convention, and GlobalSportsJobs, a Supporter for this year’s event, will each host a workshop during #SAC2016, taking place at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne. Delegates have an opportunity to learn from leading experts, how to better assess the impact of sports events on cities, as well as manage the challenges and take advantage of opportunities when it comes to talent management in a digital age.

Sportcal will deliver a workshop entitled: How Hosts and Owners can Understand More about the Impact of Sport beginning on Thursday, 21 April from 16:00-17:30. Sportcal have developed the Global Sports Impact Project to understand more about the impact of sporting events on host cities and nations. Sportcal will present a series of events studies around some of the major sporting events of 2014 and 2015. The workshop will focus on how sports and cities can develop a better understanding of the impact of their events and communicate these benefits more effectively using narrative and data. This workshop is intended for Cities and sports audiences.

GlobalSportsJobs will also host a workshop: Talent Management in a Digital Age and will begin on Thursday, 21 April from 14:00-15:30. GlobalSportsJobs, the leading specialist digital media & talent platform for the international sports industry will be hosting a panel discussion with industry leaders on the challenges and opportunities of talent in the digital age. A high calibre team has been assembled representing Agencies, Rights Holders and Organising Committees to share knowledge, insight and best practice. This workshop will be of value to sports industry professionals, particularly senior managers in commercial and people functions, as well as industry leaders in the role of CEO, Chairperson and/or President.
