Lausanne – Mr David Nivelle has joined SportAccord as the Director of the Multi-Sports Games Unit. His tasks will focus on building an ever stronger success of SportAccord Multi-Sports Games and strengthening the brand of the events.
Mr Nivelle has a well-founded experience in the business development of top international sports brands and events. Some examples of his work include strategic development and launch of ESPN Winter X Games Europe and management of sponsorship sales and servicing of Tour de France and the Paris Marathon. Prior to joining SportAccord, Mr Nivelle led business development efforts in Europe for Helios Partners, the U.S. strategic consultancy, and worked on branding and sponsorship projects for brands and rights holders in France, Turkey and Russia.
As the Director of the Multi-Sports Games Unit, Mr Nivelle will be working on developing and managing the portfolio of innovative global SportAccord Multi-Sports Games. He will coordinate the development of these events together with the members of SportAccord.
In addition, Mr Nivelle will oversee discussions with key commercial partners of SportAccord Multi-Sports Games and support local organising committees with regard to the execution of the events.

SportAccord promotes its members’ sports and increases their visibility on the world stage by establishing SportAccord Multi-Sports Games - high-level festivals of sport that showcase both Olympic and non-Olympic sports and disciplines. Gaining worldwide exposure in more than 150+ countries, participating sports are grouped to increase media value. With the first editions of the World Combat Games (2010) and World Mind Games (2011) delivered and the second edition preparations well under-way, these are the first two events in a series of Multi-Sports Games SportAccord will launch in the coming years. The next events to be introduced are the World Beach Games and World Artistic Games, scheduled for 2013 and 2014 respectively.
