McCune Enters World Outside Coca-Cola
(ATR) it’s official: Scott McCune is now the former vice president of Coca-Cola’s global sports properties, including the Olympics and World Cup.
March 1 was the date he launched a new chapter in his career after 20 years at Coca-Cola. The change had been announced months ago and was timed for the conclusion of the Sochi 2014 Winter Games.
"While I love The Coca-Cola Company and the people I have been privileged to work with both inside and outside the Company, I am excited about my future and my new business, McCune Sports & Entertainment Ventures. After a much anticipated "sabbatical", I will be further developing this new entity, as well as continuing my role on various boards, including the Gannett Company, and spending more time with my philanthropic endeavors," he wrote in an email last week.
McCune says his new company will provide advising and consulting on a selective basis and work with new ventures and private equity firms.
Emmanuel Seuge has succeeded McCune as head of Coke’s global sports properties, entertainment, gaming, music, and ventures relationships.

Proctor & Gamble’s Olympic Campaign
Proctor & Gamble’s Olympic and Paralympic advertising campaign has been a success.
The company’s "Thank You, Mom" ads pay homage to the trials and sacrifices mothers of Olympic athletes make.
A campaign entitled "Tough Love" was created specifically for the Paralympics. The ads depict the strength moms of paralympians need to let their impaired sons and daughters go and achieve what they are capable of.
The ads, which started airing before the end of the Olympic Games, have already amassed over two million views on YouTube.
