SPIKES MOVES CLOSER TO HOME AS PART OF THE IAAF WEBSITE

Monaco – For the past six years, SPIKES has given a fun, relaxed and engaged voice to our sport via website, social media and printed magazine. As of Thursday (27), SPIKES took up permanent residence as part of the IAAF website.

While SPIKES has been "powered by IAAF" from the outset, this move is another step forward in the use of social media as a tool to better promote athletics to a wider audience.

Encompassing the current ‘fans’ section, the SPIKES page will contain a constantly updating social media wall, brimming with the latest activity from Facebook, Twitter, Vine and Instagram.

Now based in its new home within the IAAF website, SPIKES will continue to bring the world of track and field to life, but with increased functionality and a smarter design.

In addition, the IAAF World Athletics Club will from now on be co-branded with SPIKES. Instead of a once-weekly take-over, SPIKES will now offer a constant voice for the IAAF’s Facebook presence.
